In the cultural offer of the Fatarella, in year 1990 a group of parents, mothers and enthusiastic neighbors of the people of the music proposed itself to send the project of a school of music to La Fatarella.
During the two first years the school worked like an autonomous institution. In the face of the success of inscriptions and the number of pupils the classes were made so much in the facilities of the public school as those of the Mansion of the Town. It is on the 25th from September 1992 when the school of music becomes a municipal service created in full session of the town council.
Of this already 18 years ago!! We have reached the adult age!!! They are many the pupils that they have passed there and the persons who have collaborated on helping to go ahead with this initiative. In the present people are working in the construction of a headquarters own and suitable for the needs seues.
The school for all this time has kept on expanding and broadening the educational offer, contributing like this to our people in the education and musical diffusion. Concerts, meetings with other schools, musical exchanges, colonies, concerts and auditions of the pupils themselves, come out to different concert halls, have been organized... and part has been taken in different musical events while enriching the formation of its students.

- Participation in the meetings of orchestras in Vila-seca
- Exchange with the Academician school of Tortosa
- Course about he chronicles it of the music in Catalonia
- Concert of the Cantata of the Brave Goblin
- Concert - exchange of the Cantata the City and the Moon
- Participation in the union with Fonsorbes
- Colonies - exchange in Paüls
- Participation in the musical colonies of cross flute and piano
- Concerts Memorial Toni Pellisa
- Exchanges with the Choirs of Adults
- Celebration of the day of Santa Cecília
- Participation in the concerts of the Conference about the Heritage
- Meeting - exchange with the orchestra of the Conservatory of Tarragona
- Meeting - exchange in the municipal school of music of El Morell
- Auditions of Sant Jordi in the Library together with the classroom of painting
- Auditions for the nursery school
- Auditions of Christmas and to make shit the trunk
From the municipal school of music, among others, it is wanted to make the interest in the music grow, to foster the practice in group of musical activities, and to pass the musical culture to everybody who wishes it. At present we can find the following groups and instruments there:
GROUPS:
- Adaptation: addressed to children/him of 4-5 years.
- Initiation: addressed to children/him of 6-8 years.
- Different groups of musical language: from 9 years
- Adults and/or instruments: the offer depends on the demand of the students
INSTRUMENTS:

- Flute of beak
- Shawm
- Guitar
- Piano
- Violin
At school there are different groups, vocal as well as instrumental. The instrumental groups have left the majority of the instruments that are imparted there represented.
