Any time of year is a good moment to visit La Fatarella, although:
Festival of Sant Blai (Winter Patron Saint's Festival)
The first weekend in February. Wood auction by the Festival Organisers. La Fatarella folk dances. Cake of Sant Blai. Recruits festival and donkey race. Festival of Sant Àgueda.
Summer Patron Saint's Festival
First weekend in August. Diverse popular festivities: dancing, donkey race, exhibitions and concerts.
Pilgrimage of Sant Francisco
First Saturday after Easter. Pilgrimage to the hermitage of Sant Francisco, which goes back over 300 years. Dancing of La Clavellinera and of Sardanes, traditional embroidery work and fraternity lunch. Arrival in the town with staffs at dusk.
Festival of la Mare de Déu de la Misericòrdia
Local festival held on 8 September. Singing of l'Aurora, celebration of mass, dancing of La Fatarella fok dances, singing of Goig de la Mare de Déu.
Oil festival
This festival, held in the first fortnight of December, is a deep-rooted, widely-acknowledged festival in which a large number of people take part. Tasting of new oil with a local breakfast and tasting of the traditional clotxa. Open day at the Agricultural Co-operative. Exhibition of traditional handcrafted products. Olive oil colloquium. Exhibition of the folklore of les Terres de l'Ebre. Cooking Workshops ara held on the days before and after the Oil Festival and the day of the festival itself.
